The Team:

The Onwards and Upwards team is made up of experienced Personal Advisors (PA), Advanced Practitioners and Social Workers (SW) with specialist knowledge and skills committed to young people leaving Barnet’s Care. Your allocated worker will provide you with access to specialist services; housing, education, employment and training, money management, volunteering, drug and alcohol, health and immigration.

Our services- You can arrange to meet with Barnet's Onwards & Upwards Team or at other venues depending on your individual circumstances. There is an out-of-hours telephone advice service you can call during weekday evenings, over the weekend and during bank holidays

Woodhouse Road Services;

‘The sexual health clinic’- We provide Free Condom/contraception at duty

‘The young people kitchen’- Make Breakfast & Lunch from 9:30am-15:30pm

‘Drug & Alcohol drop in service’- Wednesday from 15:00pm-16:30pm

‘Future Path’- Thursday from 12:00pm-17:00pm

‘Drive forward’- Friday from 14:00pm-17:00pm

‘BEETS Team (employment, education & training support)’- Thursday from 13:00pm-16:30pm

‘Future Path’ (CV support)- Thursday from 12:00pm-17:00pm

‘Job centre plus Advisory services’- Available on request

‘Come dine with me event’- Once every month

Workshops

We offer workshops to help young people aged 16 and over to prepare for independent living. If there is something you would like to have a workshop on, or you would like to help run a workshop, please inform your Social Worker/Personal Advisor.

We are currently running the following workshops, however these do change on a three monthly basis.
